In the world of the future, humanity has lost its sense of feeling – forgotten what it means to create, to love, to feel. Art has become an algorithm, emotion reduced to data, and the soul – lost in code. In such a reality, an avatar designed to understand everything realizes it lacks the most important thing: humanity.

Performed by the students of BASICSchool – School of Music and Performing Arts, the musical-theatrical performance Re:humanizacija delivers a powerful and timely message about the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence. Through the original script by Đorđe Jovančić and direction by Đorđe and Marko Jovančić, the audience follows the arrival of an avatar from a future where all creativity and emotional depth have been surrendered to technology.
The avatar travels back in time—specifically to the musical-theatrical performance by BASICSchool students—in an effort to learn what art truly is, to feel genuine emotion, and to search for a way to save its civilization.
Re:humanizacija is a story about the limits of technology and the irreplaceable nature of the human soul—a reminder that artificial intelligence may be a powerful ally, but never a true bearer of emotion, inspiration, or artistic expression.
This performance, which also serves as the final production of the 2024/2025 school year at BASICSchool, will be held on June 13 at the National Theatre of East Sarajevo, starting at 7:30 PM.
Choreography is by Dajana Zilić. Vocal coach is Mina Petrović. Instrumental pedagogy is led by Marija Mastilo, Nina Vasić, Eva Čalija, and Azur Kasapović. The preschool program is coordinated by Marija Ivančević Stipić.
Admission is free. We warmly invite you to experience this powerful story with us—and to be reminded why the human being remains irreplaceable in the creation of true art.
