Experimental Arts Education Unit

Experimental Arts Education Unit (EAEU) offers an educational model with a fully integrated and innovative syllabus. In this department, open to children aged 7 to 14, there are no separate departments or specializations. Instead, students follow a unique program that includes various courses they choose themselves, all within a coherent educational experience. Each course is held once a week.

What does experimental music and performing arts education mean? It means that education in the EAEU department is constantly evolving. Students can expect new ideas and syllabi that change from semester to semester. Each semester brings new projects and challenges, making the education dynamic and tailored to the needs of the modern world.

Classes are taught bilingually, in Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian and English, with a special emphasis on English. This bilingual approach allows students to move fluidly between languages, preparing them for a global society. Classes are small, with 10 students each, allowing for individualized attention and support for every child.

The school year runs from October to June and is divided into three semesters: fall, winter, and spring. During each semester, students receive assignments that they must complete independently or in groups by the end of the semester. The final product is then presented to parents or the public through various forms, including presentations, seminars, concerts, performances, or TV shows.

Students enrolled in the EAEU department choose at least one, but no more than ten, courses per semester. At the end of the semester, they select courses for the next semester, continuing this process as long as they wish to attend the school. Once they finish their education at the EAEU department, students receive an official transcript of all the courses they attended and descriptive evaluations of the skills they acquired in each course. To earn a school diploma, which provides additional credits for high school admission, students must attend the EAEU department for at least two years and complete a minimum of 12 courses.

EAEU syllabi are designed with a focus on what truly matters for the development of our students' artistic, logical, mathematical, and social intelligence. We enhance their ability to learn and understand complex topics, their teamwork efficiency, and their capacity to make ethical decisions.

Classes are held in specially equipped rooms carefully designed to provide an optimal environment for learning, exploration, and creativity. Each classroom is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and materials, allowing students to explore and learn in an environment that nurtures their curiosity and creativity. Additionally, a smaller portion of the classes is conducted online.

Almost every EAEU course has its accompanying software with integrated artificial intelligence from which students learn. This hybrid education model enriches their educational experience and develops digital skills crucial for success in the modern world.

We are very proud of this educational model we have developed because the EAEU is a creative hub where art, science, and technology intersect, offering students the opportunity to develop their talents and become the leaders of the future.
