Parent Guide
Welcome to the Quick Parent Guide – a page designed to provide parents with the fastest and simplest overview of everything important for enrolling and educating children at BASICSchool.
In one place, you can find a brief explanation of departments and programs, an overview of monthly tuition fees and packages, as well as information on the enrollment procedure.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for parents to access all the necessary information, without lengthy searches and complicated instructions.
This guide is practical and concise, while also connecting you to more detailed school pages should you wish to further explore specific programs and opportunities.

First Step – Your Child’s Age
Your child’s age determines which information in this guide is most important for you as parents.
-
For children aged 0 to 6, the relevant pages are those of the Preschool & Preparatory Division (PPD), which include the programs: Music Playroom, Music Workshop, and Ballet School.
-
For children aged 7 to 15, you should look at:
-
Experimental Arts Education Unit (EAEU) – for children who enjoy creative, music-theatrical, multimedia, and experimental projects. This department offers courses in musical theatre, singing, acting, dance, choir, multimedia, graphic design, animation, video editing, programming, and similar fields.
-
Classical Music Department (CMD) – for children who want a classical music education through an instrument, solo singing, solfeggio, and music theory.
-
Second Step – Departments and Programs
Once you know which department your child belongs to according to age, the next step is to get more familiar with the departments and programs the school offers.
Each department has its own specific goals and methods of teaching:
-
Preschool & Preparatory Division (PPD) – preschool and preparatory programs through the Music Playroom, Music Workshop, and Ballet School, intended for children from the earliest age until starting elementary school.
-
Experimental Arts Education Unit (EAEU) – an interdisciplinary department that combines art, science, and technology. It offers courses in musical theatre, acting, choir, dance, animation, multimedia, and other creative fields.
-
Classical Music Department (CMD) – a classical music education program with departments for solo singing, piano, guitar, violin, cello, and flute, along with mandatory solfeggio and music theory classes.
On each department’s page, you can find a detailed overview of programs, subjects, and specific courses, enabling you and your child to make the best decision in line with the child’s interests and talents.

Fourth Step – School Calendar, Project Plan, and eSystem
-
School Calendar and Annual Project Plan — All important dates are defined before the start of the school year and made available in the school calendar and annual production plan. Parents can view them immediately and plan the entire year accordingly, since class schedules, non-working days, holidays, and all concerts, musicals, and shows are clearly marked.
-
eSystem — The school’s central digital platform through which parents and students can access the electronic grade book, attendance records, teacher comments, learning materials, class schedules, and progress status. Through the eSystem, students take tests, while parents can submit administrative requests. Everything operates in one place, ensuring complete transparency and simple communication with the school.
Fifth Step – Enrollment
Each school department has its own application form:
Parents fill out the appropriate form for enrollment / place reservation.
For the EAEU and CMD departments, after submitting the application form, the system automatically sends the first part of the entrance exam via email — three video conundrums that the child needs to watch and then choose one of the offered answers. After that, the school contacts parents to arrange the second part of the entrance exam, which takes place at the school (if required).
For the PPD department, no entrance exam is required.
📌 Important: Submitting the application form / seat reservation does not oblige parents to enroll. Only after completing the entrance process (if applicable) and signing the schooling contract does the child officially become a student of the school.

Diplomas
Upon completing a program, students earn the right to an international diploma in English, aligned with European educational standards and recognized in all European Union member states as well as in the United States.
-
For students of the PPD and EAEU departments, this diploma is also recognized in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
-
Students of the CMD department receive an international diploma recognized in the EU and the USA, while parents may, with an additional fee and exam, request the issuance of a domestic diploma recognized in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this way, BASICSchool diplomas enable students to continue their education and pursue further professional development both in the country and abroad.
