The Best Festival Program Yet at the 9th Children's Fair in Sarajevo 🎡

The largest festival for children and families in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held again this year on November 9th and 10th in the "Mirza Delibašić" hall in Sarajevo. The 9th Children's Fair, produced by our school, featured the best and most organized festival program to date, with performances by over 1,000 children from kindergartens, primary schools, cultural associations, as well as various organizations promoting music, art, and dance. The complete list of the festival program can be found on the official fair website.

Here's how we enjoyed the first day of the 9th Children's Fair.

And here’s how we spent the second day of the 9th Children's Fair.

The students of our school traditionally opened the festival program by performing the anthem of the Children's Fair, the song "Kao ti i ja," written by the school's founder and director, Đorđe Jovančić.

On the second day of the festival program, our talented students from the Piano Department, under the guidance of teacher Marija Mastilo, performed the following pieces:

  • Dea Rakić – Denes Agay: "At the Circus"

  • Alem Dedić – M. Aran: "Indian War Dance"

  • Arian Hota – Carolyn Miller: "March of the Dwarfs"

  • Petra Vrebac – William Duncombe: "Sonatina in C"

  • Lana Bubica – R. Petrović: "Mother's Treasure"

Immediately after, the BASICSchool choir, prepared by teacher Mina Petrović, took the stage and transported everyone into the magical and icy world of Disney's Frozen 2 with their performances of "All Is Found" and "Show Yourself." The choir was conducted by Đorđe Jovančić.

After the choir, the audience enjoyed a solo performance by Blanka Bojić with the song "Budi mi voda," written by Jovančić. She presented this song at this year's jubilee 30th Đurđevdan Children’s Song Festival in Banja Luka, where she won the third prize for composition from the expert jury.

Then came the part of the program that everyone had been eagerly awaiting – the concert performance of Disney’s musical Beauty and the Beast JR., presented by our students. With their outstanding talent, they announced the next performance of the musical, scheduled for November 29 at the BKC.

Congratulations to everyone on their amazing performances! See you next year at the jubilee 10th Children's Fair in Skenderija.
