In a festive spirit and with great joy, BASICSchool – School of Music and Performing Arts held its traditional New Year’s Concert of Instrumental Departments on December 18, 2025, under the well-loved title “Santa, Hear Us Play!”. The concert took place in the beautiful Chamber Hall of the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, where music, togetherness, and the dedication of our students came together in an evening to remember.
Each year, this concert is a special opportunity for the audience to hear what has been built in the classroom over months of work—patience, discipline, musical literacy, and growing stage confidence. The most dedicated students had the chance to present their progress from the first semester of the school year, and their performances showed just how much can be achieved in a single term with consistent effort and the support of their teachers.
Through a diverse programme and sincere interpretations, our young performers created a warm, celebratory atmosphere and reminded us that music is one of the most beautiful ways to welcome the new year—together, in a hall filled with attention, smiles, and pride.
As part of the concert, a ceremonial diploma presentation was also held for students who successfully completed our programmes/departments in the previous 2024/2025 school year:
Saša Pandurević / Music Workshop
Dalia Ražanica / Ballet School
Nadin Salihović / Ballet School
Dea Rakić / Ballet School
Andrej Ikić / Music Playgroup
As well as for students who were not able to collect their diplomas at the ceremony:
Azur Vukas / Guitar Department
Luna Imamović / Ballet School
Sara Suljkanović / Music Workshop
Anja Starović / Music Workshop
We are grateful that they chose our school and placed their trust in us, and especially happy that some of our students from the preschool programmes continue to grow with us by enrolling in our advanced departments.
Congratulations to all participants on their success, and to their teachers for the commitment, patience, and motivation they invest every day in nurturing new generations of young musicians. “Santa, Hear Us Play!” once again proved that when children are given space to grow through art, the result is not just a concert—it is an experience that strengthens confidence, character, and a lifelong love for music. 🤍🎶
